A Perfect Evening.

We are sitting outside on the patio enjoying a breeze (provided by a fan) while a fire smolders in the pit. We ordered gluten free pizza which I enjoyed with a glass of crisp pinot gris. I can hear the parents and children yipping and yelling at the soccer field down the block. It is a perfect summer evening and I am savoring every moment.

We're in the home stretch of what has been a very steamy summer. Not to be a buzzkill but I'm glad we're nearing the beginning of cooler weather. Fall is my favorite ... favorite season. I love what happens to the world that surrounds me as the days get shorter and wind blows just a wee bit cooler. I have a lot of plans for this next season. I can lose myself in everything I have to do . . . as if things would come to a crashing halt if I skipped something.

What I've always known, and what working with Bear in the West in a session of Soulodge has reaffirmed is that autumn is for cultivating resources and preparing for hibernation.

It is a time of inquiry, of scanning my energy field for holes and finding exactly what kind of balm I need to heal.

I spent the summer purging. Literally purging. I had a garage sale and got rid of so . many . things I no longer needed.

I made peace with some feels that needed tending to. But let's be real, I'm always doing that.

I took action, real action, regarding my health - wellness - work life - and sacred biz. I'm trying to build something from the heart and with integrity that helps women feel, heal, and expand deeper inside of their self love while doing their journey work. I know it's possible and I will continue to create and support around that goal step by step.

So this evening feels like a celebration to me. Let me tell you this . . . at the moment, finances are tight . . . my darling has health issues tend to . . . so many things are out of alignment in my life. But this moment, this glass of wine, this sitting here with my kid, my husband, this fan blowing the air just so, and this fire burning got me feeling so grateful for it all. I'm inhaling deeply, savoring that campfire smell and feeling blessed to know that I might be in the murk, and that is ok because for a long time I was in the light. And I know that inside of this darker side there is also light and I am so glad I am off all the meds and feeling {say that word really slowly and with extra emphasis} all of it. This moment, this understanding . . . this is the celebration. I get it. I get it. I get it.

I'm also celebrating having an article and photos featured in Bella Grace, issue 9 which is available at Barnes and Nobles or through the website. It is an honor to see my photos in any publication. Bella Grace is like visual poetry. I'm delighted to be a part of this issue.

One last celebration is the comeback of my online shop. Things have kind of taken off and I have sold out of one batch of my perfume oils. I will restock it soon. There is a new product, a concentrated oil that I am really excited about. You can see everything here, and keep coming back . . . I have some new things I'll be adding soon.

And finally. Finally. I will soon have a page here with a portfolio, all new photos to share, and . . . I will be offering new photo sessions for the fall. This is big (for me) and I am celebrating getting back to my first love, photography.

Love to you.

More soon.
