Sunday Ease

This morning I'm drinking a delicious cup of coffee from my mantra mug. It reads: I am Fearless. I am Focused. I am Ready. Drinking from this cup make me feel like a warrior.

Yesterday I went to the botanika for candles. Michael the archangel keeps coming up in my story through conversations and even the names of people helping us through the things we are standing in the face of. I don't know much about Michael, but I did pick up a bunch of Angel Michael candles to put around the house and keep lit. It makes me feel comforted.

I also picked up one more goddess Durga candle and a Shiva candle. Oh, how I am calling upon Durga now. She is the goddess of Inner Strength ... she is a warrior ... a goddess of protection. And, she loves to be called upon when she is needed.

{The photo above shows my bedside table. My Angel Michael candle is burning next to big quartz crystal, a smaller Aquamarine (stone of courage) and baby garnet (root chakra, grounding, protector against nightmares, and an ally during times of duress & trauma) ... and my main books: Salt + Breaking Butterflies}

I feel good this morning after a trip to Asbury Park for the annual Zombie Walk (we are huge Walking Dead fans). That was a lot of fun. We then walked down to the beach where we took so many photos and sat down on the sand to just breathe. What a blessing to live so close to the ocean. It's an hour away and in my mind, that is not far at all. Taking in a breath, the salt, the brine, the breeze feels so calming to me. She was tumultuous though, a side effect from a storm brewing down south in the Caribbean.

This morning I am continuing to knit this hat that I finally see an end in sight to. I tried it on, and contrary to what I thought ... it does actually fit my head :) I have a few rows to go before I begin decreasing and finishing this project. I just got a gorgeous new yarn for a new hat I'm making for my daughter (completely different pattern this time).

This morning I am laying on my couch, covered in blankies (oh this one that I love so much but is no longer available!) and watching Vikings (again) with my kid.

We were supposed to go to a wedding today, but we canceled because we just don't feel like it right now. We want to be home and cozy and feeling all of our feels around what lies ahead. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, my husband has to have major heart surgery like, very soon). I decided not to cook tonight, instead I'll order some dinners from the Italian place that makes really good food. And finally, I will convince my two loves that it is finally time they sat down with me to watch one of my favorite movies: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

I wish you so much ease this Sunday.
