Beauty Products I'm Currently Loving

It is officially Spring, which means I'm kicking up my diet / skin care / beauty products routines in anticipation for the warmer weather and (finally) being able to show more skin. I try not to do anything too overwhelming (I am so not a go getter), but I do like to shake things up a but from my everyday Winter norm (read: veg out all day, everyday).

Everyday essentials:

+Water . . . plenty of it with a twist of lemon, lime, cucumber or mint. All of these have excellent antiseptic properties and are awesome detoxers.

+Vitamins . . . I take a one-a-day mixed with some adaptogenic herbs. I've been on Holy Basil + Ashwaghanda for a while and I feel like I'm coming back to life.

+Movement . . . I swear I have been so lazy all Winter (without regret). Not anymore! I found some amazing playlists on Spotify for dancing ~ and ~ I have a new routine at my gym that I just started. My goal is to get at the minimum, 30 mins of "make me sweat" movement everyday.

Beauty Products on Heavy Rotation

For everyday skin care, I am loving this new to me brand, Pacificia. I spent a little time at the Ulta store looking at different products and landed on these because of the ingredient list. I have been so pleasantly surprised by how these products have been working for my skin.

Rice Bright . . . this is a scrub and I feel like people won't get that by how the name they chose. What is a smoothing paste? There is nothing pastey about this product!

I use this 3 x's a week in the morning before I shower on a clean face. A quarter size amount is enough for my face and neck (I have noticed so much aging on my neck!).

Quinoa Sensitive . . . this is the facewash. I am not a sensitive skin type but I chose this one over the coconut cleanser because it smells so good! (smells are important!). This is a gel cleanser, bubbles up nicely, and removes all of my makeup in one shot without drying out my face. I really like it.

Dreamy Youth . . . this is a day and night cream and I must say, it is a really good one, it's just not my favorite. My skin just drinks this stuff up. It goes on easily and absorbs quickly with no greasy after-feel. The 2 things I don't like about this cream: while it moisturizes my skin well, it doesn't ever feel like enough moisture ~and~ no SPF !! What?!?!!! I will use this one until I finish it, but I'm still ISO the perfect face cream.

I signed up for this Petit Vour beauty box subscription on the advice of my friends who have been raving about this box. All of the items that come in this box are vegan and cruelty free. I'm not vegan, but I do like to choose cruelty free products. This was my first box and I am loving the products inside.

I get 2 boxes a month, this one and the Play by Sephora box. I also get this one for Angie. I love getting a monthly surprise of goodies to try before I buy. I'll stick with these boxes through summer and possibly switch it up for fall.

Make Up

I went through 3 tubes of mascara by different bands before landing on this one. Wow! This is from Too Faced and it is so very good. I love the wand shape, love how it coats my lashes, and love that it doesn't flake off mid-way through the day. I don't know if I would consider it Better Than Sex, but it is a damn fine mascara. Comes in regular + waterproof.

OK, I am in LOVE, love, love with these two perfumes from Pacifica brand. They have so many perfumes to choose from and I fell hard for their Sandalwood. Like, hard! I've been wearing it all Winter and I'm still not tired of it. Lately, I have been drawn to citrus scents, so when I went shopping with my cousin, I picked up their Tuscan Blood Orange . . . which smells like straight up like fruit (orange mixed with watermelon). It brings out that young at heart feeling. I'm just so happy when I wear it.

The Pharmacia perfume is honey amber . . . it reminds me of a summer sunset. It is very floral with hints of spice. It's like nothing I've ever worn before. I adore this one.

. . . . . . . . . . .

I might do a post like this once a month . . . I go through many serums and potions and beauty products. It's nice to share what works for us and what doesn't.
