A New Camera

I obviously suck at blog writing challenges . . .

These are some of the photos that came off during my last import. I recently purchased the Sony A-6000 camera and I am just blown away by the picture quality! I'm waiting on my 35 mm lens to arrive, but in the meantime I'm shooting with the kit lens (E, 16-50 mm, 3.5-5.6 ... very nice) and a zoom lens that was in the bundle (E, 55-210mm, 4.5-6.3 ... great for birdwatching captures). Here is a link to the bundle and the lens I purchased if you are interested (not affiliated).

I mostly bought this camera to begin building up the gear I will need for my YouTube channel. Updates are coming soon, but the general theme of my channel will be beauty, skincare, travel, food, and lifestyle for women over 40. I am so very excited for this new adventure.

It feels great to be carrying my camera everywhere with me again and capturing the beauty and the richness and the realness of life happening around me. At the moment, I have over 8,000 photos on my iphone (I have saved them all to Google photos + the icloud so I won't lose them). It is very convenient to shoot with my iphone exclusively because it's tiny, compact, and takes a helluva a great picture, but damn it, I don't want to fall into that when I have two amazing cameras that I spent a lot of time learning how to use coupled with a large monetary investment and spent many precious hours perfecting my craft.

Today is Saturday and I have no plans other than a few errands here in town. I have mega housework to catch up on including dusting, vacuuming, sorting, and laundry (yuck). I am also making a raw, vegan cheesecake for a bbq I'm going to tomorrow by my sister. And finally, I am typing out the workbook that each participant taking my workshop will receive in just over a week at Soulodge Medicine Gathering. I hope that wherever you find yourself this weekend that you are surrounded with peace and ease. Much love to you.
