The story behind mercy

I created MERCY Intention Blend because I was done with the horrible and harmful way I was treating myself. If you could hear the thoughts I had, the things I repeated to myself . . . about myself . . . I would never talk to another human being that way.

So why talk that way to myself?

We all have stories. A lot of those stories we have taken on as our own. They never really began with us. I have struggled with my weight since I was 5 years old. I witnessed something around that age that prompted me to seek safety. What does a 5 year old know? Well I certainly knew that food made me feel good, nurtured, and safe.

Along with weight gain came the concern from my parents, the teasing from kids at school, and then began my self loathing. Why couldn't I be what everyone wants me to be: skinny?

I wish I could tell you how long I've allowed that question to live in my head. Maybe you can relate? Maybe you have adopted a similar story and carried it with you for too many years?

The day I created Mercy was the day I chose to stop beating myself up for what my physical body looks like. We don't get a whole lot of time earthside, and I would be damned if I was going to spend the rest of my days berating myself in my head.

I began blending oils that support self love, self acceptance, body love. Patchouli, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Lotus Absolute, and Amber. The aromas worked beautifully together to create a blend that feels like a veil of safety. Yes, safety - like a coat of armour between me and the rest of the world.

Wearing the oil blend allowed me to be softer, kinder, and gentler with the way I talked to myself. Don't get me wrong, I still have my moments. This is why I have to wake up and choose Mercy as an intention, every. single. day. I choose Mercy and forgiveness for myself. This is my intention.
